Flint and Chalk Tables

The two tables, completed in Spring 2016, were privately commissioned to furnish The Flint House. The tables were made to reflect the existing materials, colours and textures used on the exterior of the building. Black gallets have been used for the outside table and white for the inside. The inside table also has a central column and five legs made of chalk. Originally all from the same, single, seven ton piece of chalk. The chalk was cut and lathed to produce beautiful pieces that expose the strata and fossil content of this material.
